The Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation (MPACF) just finished their second cycle of grant awards, granting $125,961 to 24 different organizations in our community.
"Most of the organizations applied during our competitive grantmaking process," MPACF Executive Director Amanda Schafer said. "We host two cycles each year for organizations serving those in Isabella County. Organizations apply via an online application and community members serving on various committees of the Foundation make recommendations to the Board about the most impactful projects."
According to a press release from MPACF, MPACF provides grants to nonprofit organizations as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to schools, and to units of government. Many grants address critical local needs, or support important projects or programs not adequately being served by existing community resources.
