As you are all aware, due to concerns about COVID-19, our annual Village Victory Cup competition that was scheduled to take place on June 7th at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi had to be cancelled. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we have found a way to move ahead with the competition.
Rather than congregate all in one place to compete against one another, this year PVM communities have the option to host the games at their respective communities for their respective residents. Participating communities will report their results to the PVM Wellness Department, which they will compile to determine the winners of each game and the overall winner of the Village Victory Cup.
Communities will have the months of September and October to play the games and can play them all in one day or spread them out over time. Precautions will be taken when playing the games to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 that include social distancing, wearing proper facemasks, practicing proper hand hygiene and cleaning & disinfecting the equipment.
So, you still have the opportunity to win some medals and perhaps more importantly, bragging rights by helping claim the coveted Village Victory Cup trophy for your community. Ask your Administrator how you can get involved and join the fun.
