Picnics, fireworks, and Independence Day are the hallmarks of July. So too are heat and humidity. In July, mid-day temperatures in Michigan average in the mid 80’s. Add to this an average humidity level of just over 72% and you have a potentially dangerous combination. Prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity can cause the body to lose its ability to cool itself, ultimately resulting in heat stroke, a serious medical condition that can cause permanent disability or death if prompt emergency treatment isn’t provided.
The U.S. Flag Day is coming up soon on June 14th. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14,1977 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14th as Flag Day. Congress joined in with an Act of Congress in 1946.

Believe it or not, it’s that time of year again. It’s time to get ready for the 14th Annual PVM Village Victory Cup. Like last year, we will be hosting this year’s event at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. The date is Friday, June 21, 2019.
May 1st has been known for centuries as May Day and has celebrated at the beginning of spring with a dance around a Maypole. As a centerpiece for an ancient European spring festival, Maypoles are known for being colorful and festive while decorated with ribbons. Springtime is known for celebrating renewal.
